Position Summary: The Regional Manager – Solar & BESS Field Operations is responsible for leading and managing all field operations activities across a designated region for both solar photovoltaic (PV) and battery energy storage system (BESS) installations and maintenance. This role oversees field teams, ensures safe and efficient execution of projects, and drives operational excellence across commissioning, maintenance, and performance optimization of distributed energy resources. The Regional lead collaborates closely with engineering, field operations management, and safety departments to ensure that all field activities align with company standards, regulatory compliance, and customer expectations., and fostering strategic partnerships to strengthen the company’s presence in the renewable energy sector.Agency emails will not be returnedEssential Duties and Responsibilities: Develop troubleshooting, maintenance and repair procedures for inverters, trackers, BESS units and other systems on site. On-Board EPC projects being built in the assigned Region Create and manage job folders for onboarding projects and operating projects Audit Preventative maintenance schedules for the technicians to follow that are developed by the site leads Review new contracts and understand the scope of services and response times for each project Develop and train technicians on ADVANCED testing and repair of AC and DC electrical circuits. Assist in advanced troubleshooting and repairs of faulty equipment. Audit site safety and security on all jobs being performed on site by personnel and contractors. Escalation point for field personnel on safety, troubleshooting, and scheduling of projects in the Region Develop and train site personnel on electrically safe testing procedures. SME of potential electrical hazards and use of proper LOTO procedures and equipment to safeguard workspace before repairs or maintenance is performed. Manage and audit all maintenance activities performed into a computerized maintenance management system, HEIS 2.0. Ensure the technicians are inputting a quality product for our customers Accurately report and relay information to supervision and site owner representatives. Audit technicians progress on safety trainings Perform all solar and/or Bess site activities not listed above. Education and/or Experience Requirements: Required: Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and able to program and manipulate equipment High level of electronic principles knowledge to perform advanced troubleshooting and create procedure to safely operate and maintain onsite equipment. Advanced electrical testing equipment knowledge (multimeter, IV Curve Tracer, TTR, insulation resistance etc.) Capable of performing substation and recloser switching. Experience using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) programs 5+ years solar experience Ability to navigate SCADA system monitoring and applications Medium and High Electrical Voltage testing and safety experience Leadership and mentorship experience Preferred: Journey Licenses Industry certifications OEM training and certificates Physical Requirements / Work Environment: Required: Ability to mostly work in an outside environment Lifting items greater than 35 pounds Walking on uneven ground Ability to handle temperature extremes.
