Location: Orange County, CASchedule: Approximately 20–25 hours per week Compensation: Approx. $45 - $65 per hourAbout the ***** We are seeking an experienced and health-conscious Private In-Home Chef to join a busy household in Orange County. This position is ideal for a culinary professional with a strong background in nutrition, meal preparation, and menu design—someone who can balance everyday clean eating with the occasional elevated, multi-course dining experience.The chef will prepare meals with applicable parameters, maintain high standards of kitchen cleanliness, and work closely with the client to design menus aligned with specific nutritional and dietary parameters. The role combines structured weekly meal prep with on-site preparation on a rotating schedule.Key ***** Meal Preparation & Planning • Prepare and portion nutritionally balanced meals 2–3 times per week (typically Monday, Wednesday, and Friday). • Create menus within established parameters, focusing on health, balance, and flavor. • Calculate and document nutritional values for each recipe, ensuring alignment with dietary goals. • Source and select high-quality, fresh ingredients from trusted local suppliers. • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment after each prep session. On-Site Dinner Preparation • Cook and serve dinners on a rotating weekly ***** o Week 1: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday (and occasionally Sunday), 5–7 PM. o Week 2: Wednesday and Thursday, 5–7 PM. • Serve meals for approximately four people, including children’s fixed meals. • Occasionally plan and execute 4–5 course dinners with wine pairings for small gatherings or dinner parties (about once per month). • Handle post-meal cleanup, including washing and putting away dishes after special occasions. Nutrition & Specialization • Design and execute nutrient-dense, performance-focused meals (ideal for someone with prior experience cooking for athletes or clients with specific wellness goals). • Stay informed on current trends in functional nutrition, athletic performance, and healthy cooking techniques. • Adjust meal plans based on feedback and evolving nutritional targets.***** • Culinary degree or equivalent professional chef experience required. • Proven experience as a Private Chef, Performance Chef, or in athletic/health-focused cooking. • RD, RDN, CNS, PN1, PN2 or other nutrition credential or certification a strong plus. • Strong understanding of macronutrients, portioning, and meal planning. • Skilled in menu creation and culinary innovation within nutritional constraints. • Excellent time management, reliability, and discretion in a private household setting. • ServSafe or equivalent food safety certification preferred. • Ability to perform light cleanup and maintain household kitchen standards.
