Job Description:Job SummaryThe Dispatch Supervisor supports and reviews UPS Small Package dispatch operations to ensure timely, safe, and cost-effective service. This role assists with daily dispatch planning, coordinates staffing and equipment needs, and ensures dispatch plans are executed efficiently. The supervisor monitors load and tractor assignments, oversees yard operations, and tracks the condition of trailers and equipment. This position also analyzes dispatch and service reports to maintain performance standards, implement improvements, and support overall operational goals. Key ResponsibilitiesReview driver hours to ensure DOT and regulatory compliance.Conduct hazardous materials audits and review safety reports.Verify driver uniforms and adherence to safe work methods.Identify training needs and support employee development plans.Conduct performance evaluations and resolve performance issues.Provide consistent feedback and coaching to drivers and staff.Perform daily yard checks in all weather conditions.Inspect and reconcile trailer, tractor, and dolly equipment daily.Enter KPI data accurately into Excel and SharePoint tracking systems.Assist in updating and dispatching drivers under supervision of the full-time dispatcher. QualificationsAvailability to work flexible shift hours, up to 5 days per week.Experience supervising employees — preferred.Management experience — preferred.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.Must be authorized to work in the United States.
