As an Equity Compensation Consultant in Empower's Equity Stock Plan Services team, you will act as a trusted guide to employee shareholders, providing personalized education and support across a wide range of equity plan types—including RSUs, stock options, performance awards, SARs, and ESPPs. You will help participants understand, access, and maximize the value of their equity compensation as part of their broader financial wellness journey. This role is ideal for professionals who are passionate about financial education, thrive in dynamic environments, and are motivated to make a meaningful impact on the financial confidence and literacy of employee shareholders. The core business hours for the Equity Stock Plan Services team are 8am – 8pm EST. Candidates must be able to work shifts between those hours. What you will do Serve as the primary point of contact for shareholders, providing exceptional service through inbound phone and email inquiriesEducate participants on their equity compensation plans and help them connect plan value to broader financial wellness goalsSimplify complex topics such as vesting, taxation, and exercise options into clear, actionable guidanceTake ownership of shareholder inquiries, ensuring resolution through collaboration with internal partners and support teamsSupport equity-related transactions such as account setup, ESPP enrollment, and trade executionProactively reach out to participants to address questions and provide clarity on plan activity and account managementEnsure full compliance with FINRA, SEC, and Empower regulatory standards across all interactions and processesContribute to the continuous improvement of participant education programs and operational workflowsAct as a peer mentor by sharing best practices and fostering a collaborative team environmentMaintain awareness of evolving industry trends, regulations, and product enhancements to provide up-to-date guidanceWhat you will bring Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experienceFINRA Series 7 and 63 required; Series 65 (or 66) required within corporate-established timelinesFINRA fingerprinting requiredCertified Equity Professional (CEP®) Level 1 required or must be completed within 6–12 months of hire1–2 years of experience in equity compensation, financial services, or a related roleSolid understanding of equity compensation vehicles including RSUs, NSOs, ISOs, PSUs, SARs, and ESPPsStrong understanding of financial planning concepts and ability to connect equity topics to overall financial wellnessProficiency with CRM systems, stock plan platforms, Microsoft Office, and reporting toolsDemonstrated professionalism, dependability, and strong ethical standardsAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, remote environment with excellent time management and multitasking skillsWhat will set you apart Experience working in stock plan administration, equity plan consulting, or a financial call center supporting stock plan participantsAbility to explain complex financial concepts clearly and compassionately to participants at all levels of financial literacyProven ability to collaborate across teams and deliver results in a dynamic, growing environmentDemonstrated success in identifying and implementing process improvementsStrong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality serviceAdaptability and resilience in managing shifting business priorities and participant needsExcellent interpersonal and written communication skills with a client-first approachCommitment to continuous learning and professional growth within the equity compensation fieldPassion for Empower’s mission of improving financial confidence and helping clients achieve long-term success#LI-Remote #PJPW ***Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time, including CPT/OPT.*** What we offer you We offer an array of diverse and inclusive benefits regardless of where you are in your career. BRGs are open to all. Base Salary Range $58,500.00 - $82,650.00 The salary range above shows the typical minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation offered may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
