Adelphi is seeking experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNPs) to provide comprehensive psychiatric services to adult offenders in the custody of a correctional facility in North Carolina. Positions are available for both telepsychiatry and on-site coverage at select male and female correctional facilities. Requirements: • Unrestricted North Carolina NP license with PMHNP certification. • BLS certification • DEA certification • ACLS certification • Minimum of one year post-licensure clinical experience in psychiatric or correctional settings preferred. • Familiarity with EMR systems (HERO preferred) and ability to function in a secure environment. Key Responsibilities: • Conduct psychiatric evaluations, mental health assessments, and crisis interventions for incarcerated adults. • Diagnose mental illnesses and develop individualized treatment plans. • Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications in compliance with the facility's formulary. • Monitor patient response to treatment and modify plans as clinically appropriate. • Maintain timely and accurate documentation using the HERO electronic medical record system. • Collaborate with physicians, correctional nurses, psychologists, and other clinical personnel. • Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and attend scheduled team meetings. • Comply with all DAC regulations, HIPAA requirements, and PREA standards. • Support continuity of care and appropriate referrals for higher levels of psychiatric treatment as needed.
