Oncology Nurse Practitioner

Oncology Nurse Practitioner Responsibilities Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patients with oncology conditions.Develop, implement, and modify treatment plans in collaboration with oncologists and other healthcare professionals.Monitor patient progress, manage side effects, and adjust care plans accordingly.Provide counseling and emotional support to patients and their families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and prognosis.Order and interpret diagnostic tests to inform treatment decisions. Required Qualifications Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited nurse practitioner program.Certification as an Oncology Nurse Practitioner (ONP).Experience in oncology care or a related field, preferred but not mandatory.Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team. Preferred Skills Proficiency in electronic medical record systems.Experience in outpatient and inpatient oncology settings.Knowledge of current oncology treatment protocols and procedures.
