MRI Technologist I - Outpatient

PositionObjective: Performs routine and complexMRIprocedures in accordancewith established safetyand qualitystandardsand the specialneeds of patients. EssentialJobDuties:Reasonableaccommodationmaybemadetoenableindividualswith disabilitiestoperformtheessential functions. 1.ProcessesMRIscansequences;verifiesdemographicsand technicalinformation;checks technicalqualityofimages. 2.ParticipatesasamemberofaspecializedmedicalteaminperformingspecializedMRIscansofvariousorgansandinpreparing patients for specific procedures. Reviews pathology,surgical,and other reports to monitor patient progressandprovideameansforevaluatingtheaccuracyofMRIexaminations. 3.Constantlyassesses patient’s condition and administersfirst aid as required;assists physicians in cases of adversereactions or emergencies. 4.Conferswith the Supervisor to recommend changes,report problemsand provide feedbackon improving patient care,technicalqualityand clericalfunctions. 5.Monitors equipmentperformanceand reportsproblems to theManager;recordsmalfunctionsas required.
