Job Overview: This person will be responsible for utilizing our equipment to machine high quality parts utilized in our windows, tools, jigs, fixtures and manufacturing process equipment. Highlights of your role: Possess safe work habits and always maintain good housekeepingSelf-starter who works well both independently and in team settingsWillingness to learn and work in other trade skill areas as neededMust be detail oriented and fluent in reading prints/drawingsMust have a good understanding of the process of machining parts, how to determine the required tasks and the sequence of those tasksMust be able to select and efficiently operate the proper machine(s) for the job at handMust be proficient at programming tool paths for CNC mill operationMust be proficient at setting-up and operating lathes, CNC mills and other fabrication equipment.Must be proficient at making precise measurements to produce high quality partsAdditional duties include but not limited to industrial machine troubleshooting and repair You're a good fit if you have (or if you can): Strong mechanical aptitude and skillsThe ability to read and understand schematics to fabricate parts and assemble equipmentThe ability to work well independently with a focus to get things done rightVersatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm - Drive for munication and collaboration skills, ability to work cross-functionallyWillingness to be cross trained in multiple departments and job roles Also want to make sure you have: Two-year technical Machinist degree- experience in a machine shop program or machining is preferredTwo- five years' experience with programming and operation of CNC machinesGibbs Cam experience preferredSome machine design and assembly experience a plus.
