The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the pre-construction phase, providing accurate estimates and ensuring cost control throughout the project lifecycle. This position requires a strong background in construction estimating, project management, and contract negotiation, along with hands-on experience in construction site environments. 10 years HVAC experience Required.*Responsibilities** Develop detailed cost estimates for construction projects based on drawings, specifications, and other relevant documents.* Utilize estimating software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid to create precise project bids.* Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to gather necessary information for accurate pricing.* Conduct thorough reviews of contracts and specifications to identify potential risks and opportunities for cost savings.* Engage in negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers to secure favorable pricing and terms.* Monitor project budgets and perform cost control measures throughout the construction process.* Provide support during the bidding process by preparing bid packages and managing submissions.* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and best practices in construction estimating.*Skills** Proficiency in Bluebeam and HeavyBid software for estimating purposes.* Strong negotiation skills to effectively communicate with subcontractors and suppliers.* Extensive experience in construction estimating with a solid understanding of pricing strategies.* Knowledge of cost control methods to ensure projects remain within budget.* Familiarity with construction site operations and management principles.* Excellent understanding of contracts related to construction projects.* Strong project management skills to oversee multiple estimates simultaneously.* Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
