*Overview*Candidates should take the time to read all the elements of this job advert carefully Please make your application promptly.We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Associate Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in various areas of law, including but not limited to real estate, business law, personal injury, probate and estate, and environmental law. This role requires excellent negotiation skills, legal research capabilities, and the ability to draft legal documents effectively. The Associate Attorney will work collaboratively within a law office environment, providing high-quality legal services to our clients.*Duties** Represent clients in litigation proceedings in various fields such as real estate and business law* Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases and assist in trial preparation* Maintain organized case files and ensure all documentation complies with legal standards* Engage with clients to understand their needs and provide timely updates on case progress* Handle all aspects of litigation from initial case assessment through trial and appeal* Draft and file pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, and briefs in state and federal court* Conduct and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts* Prepare and argue motions, including dispositive and evidentiary motions* Participate in mediations, arbitrations, and settlement negotiations* Develop litigation strategies and case budgets in collaboration with partners* Perform thorough legal research and draft persuasive memoranda and court filings* Analyze contracts, leases, operating agreements, and real estate documents for litigation risk and case development* Prepare clients for depositions, hearings, and trial testimony* Manage discovery, including electronic discovery, privilege review, and production* Attend court appearances, hearings, and trials as first or second chair counsel* Review and interpret business records, financial statements, and expert reports* Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates, manage expectations, and deliver strategic advice* Identify potential legal issues and develop proactive strategies for clients to mitigate risk* Coordinate with outside experts, consultants, and witnesses as needed* Supervise or mentor paralegals, law clerks, and junior associates where applicable* Maintain organized case files and comply with all court deadlines and procedural requirements* Participate in firm marketing, networking, and client development efforts* Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and continuing education within the litigation team* Uphold the firm's standards of professionalism, integrity, and client service in all matters*Requirements** Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.* Admission to the bar in Ohio.* Strong knowledge of multiple areas of law including litigation.* Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw.* Excellent writing skills with experience in legal drafting.* Demonstrated negotiation skills and the ability to advocate effectively for clients.* Prior experience in a law office or litigation setting is strongly preferred.* Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.Job Type: Full-timePay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per yearBenefits:* 401(k)* Flexible schedule* Health insurance* Life insurance* Paid time offWork Location: In person
