The individual plays a critical role in supporting the operational needs of the organization while ensuring that all vehicles are maintained to the highest standards. This position also includes driving duties to temporarily fill in for open positions, relieve drivers on PTO or engage rescue and recovery of loads encountered in the event of a breakdown .*Duties** Monitor vehicle performance and maintenance schedules, ensuring timely servicing and repairs.* Maintain accurate records of all fleet activities, including maintenance logs, fuel consumption, and vehicle inspections.* Coordinate with dispatcher to ensure efficient scheduling of available tractors* Collaborate with external vendors for vehicle repairs, maintenance services, and parts procurement.* Ensure that all vehicles are equipped with necessary safety equipment and are compliant with local laws and regulations.* Train drivers on proper vehicle use, safety protocols, and maintenance procedures.*Skills** Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.* Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with drivers, vendors, and team members.* Ability to analyze data for decision-making purposes.* Problem-solving skills to address issues related to fleet operations efficiently.* Attention to detail to ensure compliance with safety standards.This position requires a proactive approach to fleet management while fostering a culture of safety and efficiency within the organization.Job Types: Full-time, Part-timePay: From $65,000.00 per yearBenefits:* 401(k)* 401(k) matching* Dental insurance* Health insurance* Paid time off* Vision insuranceExperience:* Commercial driving: 1 year (Required)* Diesel engine repair: 3 years (Required)License/Certification:* Doubles/Triples Endorsement (Preferred)Work Location: In person
