Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant - Brooklyn, NYLocation: Brooklyn, NYImportant Note: You will need to work M,W,F at one location then Tue, Thurs at the other locationJob Type: Full-timeRoles & Responsibilities:Provides medical care to pediatric, adolescent and adult patients.Takes relevant patient history.Identifies patient needs and makes diagnoses.Develops and implements treatment plans using diagnostic data.Performs complete well-care examinations including physical examinations.Performs complete gynecological histories and physical examinations as indicated.Writes prescriptions and informs patients about medications prescribed.Administrative Duties:Observes, implements, and promotes the federal regulations as defined by HIPAA and Policies and Procedures as defined by the facilityTeaches medical assistants about: patient care and triage, to improve patient flow, and communicates with Flow Manager .Participates in case conferences in which patient care is discussed.Assists the Chief Medical Officer in the development and implementation of medical protocols and medical forms.May initiate and participate in research related to health care or allied fields, in collaboration with the Chief Medical Officer.Makes suggestions to supervisors to improve patient care.Requirements:Masters Degree in Nursing as a Nurse Practitioner/Physician AssistantMinimum 2 Years of experience in a Primary Care SettingState NY Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant License along with CertificationsActive DEA License requiredActive BLS CertificationBenefits Offered:• Medical, Dental, and Vision, which has a bi-weekly employee cost of $30/pay period for a single plan and $60/pay period for a family plan.• Employer paid benefits - we provide you with supplemental STD & LTD, a life insurance policy valued at $50,000 and an accidental death and dismemberment policy valued at $50,000.• 4 weeks of vacation• 12 personal days• 12 paid holidays• 403(b) Retirement Savings Plan with 4% match after one year of employment• CME reimbursement of up to $1,000/year and up to five days off to complete a given year's requirements, with supervisor.• Flexible Spending Plan• WageWorks Commuter Benefit.
