Collection Representative

What You’ll Do Handle high-volume inbound and outbound calls related to delinquent accounts and general service inquiries.Manage collections activities — negotiate payment arrangements, resolve billing/credit issues, and follow up on past-due accounts.Adhere to call scripts and compliance guidelines while maintaining professionalism.Ensure one-call resolution whenever possible, offering solutions and alternatives to customers.Assist with overflow customer service calls during peak volume.Accurately document all customer interactions in the CRM system.Consistently meet or exceed individual and team performance metrics.Build positive customer relationships by demonstrating empathy, patience, and problem-solving. What We’re Looking For 2+ years of experience in collections, loan servicing, or customer service (auto finance, credit union, or banking industry preferred).Proven ability to handle delinquent accounts/payment-related queries.Strong communication, negotiation, and active listening skills.Comfortable working in a fast-paced call center environment.Familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce, Genesys, Five9, or similar).Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.High School Diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree a plus.
