CGP: Staff Accountant

Century Group is partnering with a client who is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $34 to $38 per hour.Job Responsibilities: Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax regulations. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Reconcile accounts and ensure accuracy of financial data. Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Ensure accurate and timely payment of salaries and wages. Support the budgeting process by gathering and analyzing financial data. Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing and collections. Work closely with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting. Qualifications/Experience: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in Manufacturing (ideally food, beverage) or Retail, ecommerce, DTC / wholesale, B2B is a plus. Strong understanding of GAAP. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and accounting software's. Experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll. Familiarity with tax filings and compliance. Proven ability to prepare and analyze financial statements.
