The Corporate Office is in Southern California (Ventura) and its Regional Boat Maintenance Center a technically advanced facility in Woodbine Georgia. How you would make an impact/key responsibility: Join the dynamic MMSI team as a deckhand responsible for performing duties on vessels or craft. This position is located at PNSY, Kittery, Maine. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to: * Responsible to assist in the safe and efficient operation of vessel, crew and embarked technicians and military personnel as directed by ship's officers. * Performs a variety of tasks related to the operation and upkeep of the vessel. * Performs hull, deck and superstructure preservation, general cleaning, operation of various pieces of deck equipment, small boat operations, securing deck and project equipment. * Other related duties as assigned and recordable * Ensure compliance to all Company Policies and Procedures, USCG, Federal, State and Local Government Agencies regulations. * Any other duties as required for the Contract performance What is needed to succeed: * USCG endorsement as an OS. Knowledgeable in shipboard operations, rigging, deck seamanship, and deck maintenance and preservation. * Willingness to work in a dynamic environment Physical Demands: Light to Moderate. Please refer to the USCG Merchant Mariner Medical and Physical Examination Requirements for Merchant Mariner Credentials (Form CG-719 K). Must be able to Pass CG Water Safety Class -OR- be Navy 2nd Class Swimmer qualified. Work Environment: At sea, pier side, associated facilities and aboard vessels and craft.
