Field Service Technician I - San Antonio, TX

Powering the Future Installing the Energy Systems That Keep the World Moving Our Field Service Operations team is seeking a skilled and safety focused Battery Installation Technician to join our growing crew In this hands on role youll be responsible for installing removing and maintaining industrial battery systemsincluding lead acid lithium ion and other energy storage technologiesat customer sites nationwide Your work will directly support the reliable operation of critical power systems in industries where uptime is everything What Youll DoDeliver Expert Installations Safely install remove and replace industrial battery systems cabinets and related equipment following manufacturer specs and company procedures Build With Precision Assemble battery strings route cabling and torque connections to exact standards using proper tools and PPE Test and Verify Perform battery testingcapacity tests voltage readings and thermal checksto ensure systems meet performance standards Prioritize Safety Follow OSHA NFPA 70E and company safety protocols while working around high voltage DC systems Collaborate for Success Coordinate with project managers supervisors and customers to complete installations on time and to the highest quality Document Everything Maintain accurate installation records including serial numbers torque logs and test data Operate Equipment Safely Use forklifts pallet jacks and other material handling tools to move heavy battery systems Keep It Clean Perform site cleanup and ensure the proper disposal or recycling of removed batteries Troubleshoot in the Field Assist in diagnosing and resolving basic electrical or battery related issues during installation Stay Ahead of the Curve Participate in ongoing training to keep up with evolving battery technologies and industry best practices What You BringEducation & Experience High school diploma or equivalent required Previous experience in UPS battery installation telecom battery systems or industrial electrical work preferred Technical Knowledge Basic understanding of DC power systems and electrical safety OSHA 1030 or NFPA 70E training preferred Forklift certification a plus Skills & Requirements Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in physically demanding environments Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions Valid drivers license and willingness to travel frequently including overnight stays Work EnvironmentFrequent travel to customer sites across various industries Work in data centers industrial facilities and mechanicalelectrical rooms Exposure to high voltage equipment and heavy materials Why Join UsComprehensive Training Learn from experienced technicians and get hands on exposure to the latest in battery technology Travel Opportunities Work at a variety of customer sites across the countryno two days are the same Safety First We provide top tier PPE safety training and tools to protect you on the job Career Growth Build your skills and advance within our field service and operations team Competitive Benefits Health coverage retirement plans paid time off and more to keep you supported both on and off the job About Us Were a trusted leader in industrial energy solutions delivering reliable battery systems that power critical operations Our mission is to provide safe high quality installations and exceptional customer servicekeeping our clients systems running when it matters most Equal Opportunity Employer We value diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive workplace for all employees
