Position Summary: The employee will be remote and live in the Baltimore, MD or Washington DC vicinity primarily supporting the Eastern region of the US with flight travel to other locations as needed. Will drive or fly to customer locations to provide on-site installation and support to clients using Securitas Healthcare products. Will be responsible for installing low voltage systems that are used in long-term care healthcare facilities. Understanding of network connectivity and software configuration troubleshooting will also be necessary. Will be required to provide training on products to end-users as needed. Essential Job Functions * Represent and support the Company in the field, through pre-sale site surveys, equipment installations, repair or replacement, and customer training, according to Company schedules, procedures, and standards. * Install, configure, and commission new systems by following company procedures and processes * Perform service work at customer sites including troubleshooting, repair, or replacement of customer equipment * Visit facilities to perform preventative maintenance by inspecting installed equipment and making repairs as needed * Complete facility site surveys to determine usability for products manufactured and/or sold by the Company * Provide training to facility personnel to show the correct operation and maintenance of installed equipment * Perform administrative duties including writing facility visit reports, completing service or post-installation checklists, creating and submitting expense reports, and maintaining accurate inventory of equipment and parts on a company vehicle * Attend construction meetings when needed to help ensure that installations that are part of a new construction or renovation project go as planned * Participate in an on-call rotation to help cover for emergency repairs on weekends or holidays * This is a customer-facing role. The candidate must have strong customer service skills in order to clearly communicate with the customer and colleagues in the field and at the office in order to ensure that customers are satisfied following each project. * Must have time management skills in order to arrive at sites when planned and to finish all work in the time allotted for each project. * Knowledge of use and basic configuration or troubleshooting of PC systems required * Must be able to use hand tools and operate basic handheld power tools * Must be able and willing to work alone and stay in contact with the office as scheduling requirements change * Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds in some instances * Must be able to climb and stand on ladders for extended periods of time * Required to stand in and crawl through tight spaces occasionally under extreme temperatures (attics, crawl spaces, utility access, etc.). Crawl space access may be as small as 16" * Must have the ability to travel extensively, overnight, on a regular basis (up to 100% of the time) * Other duties as assigned Required Qualifications: * High School Diploma or GED * Valid Driver's License with no restrictions * A foundational understanding of low-voltage systems as evidenced by one of the following: * Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in Electrical Technology, Electronics, Industrial Electronics, or a closely related field. * Completion of a post-secondary Vocational Certificate program for Low Voltage Technician/Specialist or Structured Cabling. * Recent completion of a related formal apprenticeship program (e.g., IBEW Low Voltage/Limited Energy). * Demonstrated knowledge of circuits, relays, and system installation procedures (may be via coursework, capstone project, or minimal 6 months of hands-on experience). * Ability to obtain required State licensing needed to successfully perform the role (e.g., Security System Technician licensing). To Excel: * Hold VA DCJS license and MD Security Systems Technician license * An associate degree in Electronics or a related field * Wiring, cabling, and/or security or access control system installation * Field service experience traveling to multiple customer job sites * Some experience in customer training preferred * Experience supporting or installing systems that use radio technology * Experience with data networking Position Title: Field Service Representative Supervisor's Title: Regional Implementation Manager Department Name: Service/Install FLSA Status: Non-Exempt, Hourly, M-F EEO Statement: We are a nationwide provider of security solutions, and an equal opportunity employer committed to a diverse workforce.
