Construction Manager

Job Title: Construction Manager Job Description We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee and manage our Construction Inspection Department and various projects. This role involves coordinating daily work activities, training and mentoring staff, and ensuring project time, cost management, and quality assurance are maintained. Responsibilities + Provide guidance and oversight to construction inspectors and assist with job site inspections as needed. + Facilitate and conduct regularly scheduled construction meetings. + Coordinate and partner with contractors to schedule inspection activities and resolve field issues. + Manage a construction project's technical and cost efforts, including leadership of the project team and coordinating work to meet deadlines and budgets. + Coordinate and track multiple project activities and plan staffing requirements for projects to ensure adequate coverage. + Oversee validation of products and materials ordered for projects to verify their conformance to specifications. + Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations for construction procedures and safe working conditions. Essential Skills + Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management. + 10+ years of construction management experience on water/wastewater utilities projects. + 5+ years of experience in staff management/oversight, including hiring, project staffing, and performance evaluation. + Understanding of bidding, estimating, and risk management of utility projects in water/wastewater. + Proficiency in reading and interpreting water/wastewater project drawings and specifications. + Ability to multitask and manage projects with tight deadlines. + Ability to travel to job sites across Indiana with a valid driver's license. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Professional Engineer Certification is highly desired. + Experience working on Federally-funded infrastructure projects. + Experience using Procore. Work Environment The work environment includes both office work and site visits. The inspection team consists of 30+ Resident Project Representatives (RPRs), 2 Construction Engineering Technicians, and 1 other Construction Manager. Projects are located throughout the state and occasionally in Kentucky. The role requires willingness to travel across the State of Indiana, including some overnight stays. The position offers standard construction hours (7 AM - 4 PM) with some overtime, up to 50 hours per week as needed. A company vehicle is provided. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Indianapolis, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $125000.00/yr.
