**Overview** **9700 Highway 290 East Austin, Texas 78724** **$17.50, Mon-Fri, 5pm-1:30am.** **Job Summary Details:** The Floor Technician is responsible for the maintenance and care of flooring surfaces in commercial, healthcare, or industrial settings. This includes cleaning, buffing, stripping, waxing, and vacuuming floors to ensure a clean and safe environment for staff and visitors. **Benefit Information:** ABM offers a comprehensive benefits package. For information about ABM's benefits, visit ABM Employee Benefits | Front Line Team Members (| (Programa de Beneficios de ABM) **Basic Qualifications:** - Must be 18 years of age or older - No experience required and on the job training provided - No high school diploma, GED or college degree required **Preferred Qualifications:** - Customer service experience - 1 year of similar work experience **Responsibilities:** + Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors using manual and powered equipment. + Strip, wax, and buff hard surface floors using appropriate chemicals and machinery. + Operate floor care equipment such as auto scrubbers, burnishers, and carpet extractors. + Maintain cleanliness and appearance of carpets through spot cleaning and deep extraction. + Follow safety procedures and use protective equipment to prevent injuries and chemical exposure. + Inspect and maintain equipment to ensure proper functioning. + Report any maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor. + Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and request replenishments as needed. + Assist with other custodial duties as assigned.
