Strong pipeline of existing projects.Opportunity to join a company with a great culture.About Our ClientOur client is a heavy and highway construction contractor based in New Jersey, with a history dating back to the early 1900s. The company specializes in road and bridge construction, milling, paving, pipe work, and asphalt supply, serving both public agencies like the NJ Department of Transportation and private clients such as universities and hospitals, while also offering aggregate materials and recycling services through its affiliated firms.Job DescriptionReview project plans and specifications to understand scope, materials, and requirements for heavy highway projects.Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for earthwork, paving, drainage, and structural components.Analyze labor, equipment, and material costs to develop accurate estimates.Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes for specialized work and materials.Prepare cost summaries and bid proposals in compliance with DOT and client standards.Assess project risks and incorporate contingencies into estimates.Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure alignment between design and cost projections.Use estimating software and tools (e.g., HCSS HeavyBid, Excel) for calculations and reporting.Stay current with industry pricing trends and regulations affecting highway construction.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
