To help us drive excellence, you'll get to: * Assisting with all incoming and outgoing part shipments. * Prepare and document all outgoing shipments in a timely manner * Enter data in computer as necessary * Document incoming materials as required * Schedule Steel deliveries and add to delivery calendar * Monitor and track container returns * Reconcile packing slips to purchase orders to releases * Process hourly/daily paperwork as required * Monitor all EDI and manual shipping requirements, perform input and corrections as required * Liaison for all customer communication, including but not limited to DDL, TS, etc. * Assist in cycle counting and physical inventories * Monitor and participate in activities to support continuous improvement * Participate in activities to support environmental efforts * Monitor and contribute to continuous improvement * Disburse incoming and outgoing supplies * Assist in shipping returns * 6S Housekeeping - contribute to the effort to maintain a clean and safe work environment * Regular and punctual, in-person attendance is required This full-time, hourly role is a part of our Materials team and reports to the Shipping Supervisor. Required experience: * H/S diploma or GED * Must be organized and have experience or the ability to learn data entry on a computer * Excellent interpersonal skills * Need an understanding of automotive manufacturing in a Shipping or Materials Department while understating production requirements. * Fork Truck license (will have to be certified - if not currently) -Pass written test and demonstrate safe operation of a powered industrial vehicle. * The ability to read and understand both written and verbal information * Comply with the Autokiniton values and policies * Use scale for weigh control purposes * Use handheld scanner Working conditions: * We'll provide position-specific details including physical and focused efforts, working environment and conditions, and reasonable accommodations during the interview process.
