Job Title: Pharmacy Technician Job Description As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for preparing finished prescriptions for final verification by a pharmacist, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the process. Responsibilities * Fill daily drug orders accurately and efficiently under the supervision of a pharmacist. * Assist in processing returned drugs and recycle/dispose per procedure. * Prepack frequently ordered medications, label and store as needed during low volume times. * Package materials and products manually. * Pull and pick medications from shelving and other medication storage areas. * Apply labels to blister cards and scan products for accuracy checks. * Alert the pharmacist on duty of any medication/product that is not scanning properly. * Maintain designated workstation areas and replenish all stock supplies needed. * Follow all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA. * Comply with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code. Essential Skills * Data entry * Active IL Pharmacy Technician License issued by IL Board of Pharmacy * NHA or PTCB certification * High School diploma or equivalent * Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English Additional Skills & Qualifications * Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) * Pharmacy technician certificate * Experience in specialty and fulfillment pharmacy tech roles * Previous pharmacy technician experience Work Environment This role is located in a specialty pharmacy setting. The position requires working on the floor as a pharmacy technician Hours: Monday - Friday 5:30 PM to 2:00 AM, and every other Saturday/Sunday from 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Niles, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr.
