Job Description

The Risk & Safety Compliance Specialist is responsible for the protection and management of risk for all property, personnel and guests of Beshay Enterprises.This position will coordinate with the Director of Training and Development to implement training as addition, this person will be responsible for assisting the in-house attorney with gathering documents and information relating to employee surance Plan Review·Track insurers / policies / deductibles, etc. for all types of insurance; maintain copies of all policies and historical list of insurers, policy numbers, policy periods, and broker’s contact information.·Will become a subject matter expert in Health Benefits offered and review benefit law changes, implementing as necessary and advising employees of changes as required by law.·Responsible for managing premium payments for all plans, plus the addition or removal of properties, entities or vehicles and drivers from the policies as needed.·Compare competitive insurers and brokers prior to renewal·Handle all aspects of renewal processRisk Management·Responsible for the development, maintenance and management of the company’s Workers’ Compensation, Liability, Property and Employment Practices Liability Insurance (EPLI) programs.·Establish all standards and procedures relating to handling of Worker’s Compensation, Liability, Property and EPLI claims.oImplements all matters of the program including claim Investigations, document production, settlements and litigation; tracks all claims and loss runs, claim status and related documentation.oAnalyze claims and assure paperwork compliance by District Managers; provide policy procedure training.oAct as point of contact with the insurance carrier for all claims and attend all claims review meetings.oAnalyze nature of all insurance claims and recommend actions to reduce claims.oFor company drivers on our liability policy track their licensing and driver’s training certification·Responsible for the maintenance and management of the company’s CABBS self-funding insurance plan.oResponsible for policy renewal, payment of premiums, processing tax payments, auditing payments and 3rd party payments.oMaintain and files all records.Safety Committee·Responsible for maintaining updated Injury and Illness Prevention Plan (IIPP) document, providing copies for each restaurant and training managers.·Responsible for regular safety training for all restaurants.Paralegal·Respond to employee requests for records, subpoenas and discovery requests within legal time limits.·Calendar important legal dates relating to insurance and employee claims.·Assist with other aspects of litigation (i.e. analysis of timekeeping and penalties,)·Maintain electronic and paper files with all records relating to legal requests and litigation·Maintain an electronic running history of all actions in a case (Work Status Report)·Assist with other duties as requested.Annual Orders·Order, complete and distribute annual Labor Law Posters for all locations.·Order and distribute all Cleanliness Assurance Books for CA·Order and distribute WC Calendars for all companiesJB.0.00.LN
