Carpenter Helper

Job Purpose/Summary:Duties would include cutting mortise and tenon joints, surfacing and finishing timbers, and moving material with the forklift. Construct and repair timber frames/packages, rafters, posts, beams, and trusses. Call us at 099 -2217 for more information. This position is in Boerne, TX.Principal/Main Responsibilities and Tasks:Working with power tools (skill saw, belt sander, power drill, etc.)Working with traditional hand tools (chisel, mallets, etc.)Sanding timberDistressing timberCutting and cleaning/squaring joinery on timberAbility to effectively read plans and detailsPhysical demand level must be able to lift to 100 lbs. occasionally and 25 lbs. frequentlyMinimal Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:Experience in residential and commercial constructionCapable of using power tools with confidenceCarpenter, Framer, or Woodworking experienceAbility in problem-solvingProfessional with a positive attitudeSelf-motivated and confident.Strong communication skills.Ability to multi-task and meet deadline Required qualifications: Legally authorized to work in the United States18 years or older
