Production Machine Operator

Choice Staffing is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team in Garden City, NY. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating various machinery and equipment within a food manufacturing facility.Job Title: Production Machine OperatorPay Rate: $17.00Shift: Monday through Friday - 1st and 2nd ShiftResponsibilitiesSets-up production machines each day according to established proceduresOperates production machines to produce parts per established standards and guidelinesEfficiently manipulates controls to minimize wasteInspects finished goods for faultiness and report flaws immediately to managementDetects and reports machine malfunctions promptly to managementMaintains an adequate supply of operating materials for production machines and obtains additional materials according to proceduresResponsible for observing gauges, making adjustments to the process, controlling ingredients, flow rates, temperature settings, die changes, and other process control variablesOversees product mixing in recipes, maintaining shift logs of production, and other data is needed. For example, the weight of the product and the water pick-upResponsible for cleaning tasks including, but not limited to: covering, scraping, washing, and disinfecting machineryProduces the required quantity of product within established specifications and tolerancesInspects equipment before use to ensure proper setup and alignment; performs basic and routine adjustments and maintenance.Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work areaPerforms other duties as assigned.Physical Requirements:Must be able to lift or move up to 50 poundsSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focusWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.The employee is frequently required to talk and listen to other employees/line leaders/supervisorsWalkingRequires the ability to stand for several hours at a time Required qualifications: Legally authorized to work in the United States Preferred qualifications: 18 years or older
