Salary: $23.50/hour to $25.00/hour Shift: 1st Location: Lockport, IL Job Purpose & Scope The SAP Shipping Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and executing all outbound shipment activities through SAP to ensure accurate, efficient, and timely delivery of customer orders. This role serves as the key liaison between warehouse operations, production, customer service, and carriers to maintain compliance with company procedures and customer requirements. Key Responsibilities & Job Content * Create, manage, and close shipping documents within SAP (deliveries, pick lists, transfer orders, bills of lading, etc.) * Verify accuracy of shipment details including quantities, weights, and customer-specific requirements prior to dispatch. * Coordinate daily shipments with warehouse and transportation teams to meet customer schedules. * Schedule carrier pickups and ensure all outbound loads are properly staged and documented. * Communicate shipping schedules and status updates to internal departments and customers as needed. * Maintain accurate shipment records and ensure proper filing of all SAP and carrier documentation. * Collaborate closely with Customer Service to resolve shipping discrepancies, order changes, or freight issues. * Monitor open delivery reports and follow up to ensure timely goods issue postings. * Support month-end and inventory reconciliation processes by ensuring all shipments are processed and closed in SAP. * Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and company policies during all shipping operations. * Provide back up to Team Leader and cross training as required. * Other reasonably related duties as assigned by supervisor/manager. What You Bring: * High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree in Logistics/Supply Chain preferred). * 5+ years' logistics/shipping experience. * Hands‑on SAP experience and strong knowledge of shipping documentation and processes. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams). * Detail‑oriented, organized, strong communicator, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. * Customer‑focused and proactive problem solver. * Ability to operate material handling equipment, stand/walk frequently, and lift up to 50 lbs. * Flexibility to work extended hours or weekends when needed. * Familiarity with export documentation/cross‑border (Canada/Mexico) procedures, freight cost analysis, and Lean/Six Sigma principles is a plus.
