Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is looking for a Phantom Works Flight Manager.This position is available at the following locations: Berkeley, MO; Ridley Park, PA; Mesa, AZ; El Segundo, CA; Tukwila, WACome be part of the next generation of aviation, rotorcraft, space, weapons and global mobility! Boeing Phantom Works has a great opportunity for a Flight Engineering Senior Manager. Phantom Works, a division within Boeing's Defense, Space & Security, is growing. The successful candidate will have deep experience with Flight technology development, Flight integration, vendor management, and customer interaction. Candidates should have strong technical depth in at least one of the following skills: Guidance, Navigation, & Control; Aerodynamics; Propulsion; Loads & Dynamics; Configuration Development; or Mass Properties. In addition, experience leading teams to include either IRAD efforts, CRAD efforts or integrated teams is essential.Position Responsibilities:Manages a team of Flight engineersWorks with Chief Engineers to develop strategy for Flight Technologies and tools across Phantom WorksCoordinates Flight work among various disciplines and locations to assure consistent Phantom Works Support by Flight aligned engineeringDevelops budgets and plans, executes integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals, objectivesProposes new workInterfaces with program management, customers and vendor personnel.Evaluates vendor proposals and manage contracted workProvides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processesThis position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience): Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement10+ years of experience in a Flight engineering discipline5+ years of experience leading teamsPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Ability to obtain a Top-Secret clearancePrior management or team lead experienceExcellent communication skills.Experience with Boeing military programs and processes. Experience developing and administering budgets, schedules and performance standards.Prior oversight of technical effort of medium sized or multi-skill teams.Mentoring or technical lead engineer experience.Relocation:This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
