For more information about our company, visit Summary: Curana Health seeks an outgoing and driven individual with sales experience to join our expanding Medicare Advantage sales team. The Medicare Benefit Consultant (MBC) is a field-based position responsible for enrolling Medicare beneficiaries, residing in senior living facilities into the Special Needs Plan(s) (ISNP/IESNP/MAPD). Sales and enrollment activities will be performed from your home office or onsite at senior living facilities. The Medicare Benefit Consultant role reports to the Regional Sales Director. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: You must provide verification you hold the appropriate state health licenses at point of offer extension, and upon hire you successfully complete our Sales Agent New Hire training class.If not currently licensed but have the other required skills, we will consider candidates on a case-by-case basis. However, upon hire, candidate would be required to obtain the appropriate state health license within the first 30 days of hire, which includes passing the state license exam and AHIP.Your licensed and appointment will be captive through Curana HealthThe Medicare Benefit Consultant is responsible for enrolling Medicare members through telephonic and in-person sales appointmentsMust demonstrate the ability to create and maintain effective business relationships with agencies and organizations focused on the Medicare population in assigned territoryWill be responsible for prospecting, sales, servicing, retention, and penetration within assigned territoryThe Medicare Benefit Consultant must have the ability to work independently daily and effectively manage their time and territory to ensure that all sales and service standards are maintainedBecome proficient in all plans and products in the assigned book of businessConduct Plan training sessions with partner staff to drive sales effortsUtilize traditional sales strategies to uncover needs and introduce features and benefits of the planGenerate enrollments consistent with targets established for the territoryDocument all activity to ensure compliance with Medicare Marketing GuidelinesProvide an excellent customer experience through all phases of the enrollmentResolve customer service inquiries which could include:Benefit and Eligibility informationPossess strong verbal communication skills including the ability to overcome objectionsGoal-oriented with a focus on achieving sales objectivesCompetitive personality and self-motivation Qualifications: EDUCATIONMinimum requirement Associate Degree or 3-5 years relevant work experienceBachelor's Degree preferred.QUALIFICATIONSThis individual must be able to prioritize objectives in an everchanging and fast-paced environment and demonstrate advanced knowledge of the current Medicare industry and trendsAdditionally, this individual should have a proactive servicing approach, superior organization skills, a strong sense of urgency in responding to client matters on time, and advanced problem-solving skills3+ years of sales or customer service experience analyzing and identifying customer needsSales experience in a B2C or B2B setting or experience working in a senior living community Experience in business development, account management, hospice, medical sales, social work, senior living community admissions, case management, or senior guardians preferred. Appropriate state insurance licensure within 30 days of hire date or the ability to obtainAbility to maintain licensure and product certification based on policies and proceduresMaintain a state driver's license and access to reliable transportation Effective verbal and written communication skills are requiredDemonstrated ability at public speaking requiredDemonstrated ability to initiate and place cold calls to prospects is requiredWorking knowledge of computersAbility to lift 25 pounds of collateral material requiredDemonstrated experience meeting or exceeding sales goalsDemonstrated account management skills (including planning, documentation, and measurement)Ability to travel 90% throughout the designated local territoryThis role requires travel to and from one or more assigned facilities using a personal vehicle.
