The staff nurse utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation while caring for our patients maintaining confidentiality and dignity.EEO/AA/Disability/Veteran Responsibilities 1. Essential Functions1.1 Assesses the patient's physical and psychological condition on an ongoing basis throughout the continuum of care. Documents appropriately the information obtained from the ongoing assessment. Shares significant assessment data with the appropriate discipline.2. Employee Collaboration and Teamwork6.1 Recognizes and values the contributions of fellow employees and displays cooperation and teamwork.7. Resource Utilization7.1 Reports to work on time, prepared to work and follow hospital policies for notice of lateness/absenteeism and time off requests.QualificationsEDUCATIONBSN preferred or currently matriculating. Must have successfully completed ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy course by the start of employment in the Cancer Center. Must maintain ONS provider card.EXPERIENCEMinimum three years medical surgical/oncology experience. Recent and relevant experience in an oncology setting required. Infusion experience required. Outpatient Ambulatory experience preferred.LICENSUREActive RI RN license, OCN, AOCN, or CPON certification required or required within one year of employment BLS required ACLS (Optional) PALS within one year of hireSPECIAL SKILLSDemonstrated proficiency in acute-care nursing, knowledge, and skills. Ability to communicate effectively and document information accurately Ability to deal efficiently and effectively with a wide variety of individuals Basic computer knowledge is preferred Strong ability to communicate and interact professionally in busy environmentYNHHS Requisition ID166060
