Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.Role Responsibilities: Assistsenior engineers with installing leading-edge customer equipment, performing scheduled preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance, and upgrading equipmentFollow procedures you learn during your training, as well as published task plans, to test equipment and to diagnose and resolve technical problemsComplete required job documentation, safety training and procedures for processing partsProfessionally represent Applied Materials to the customer, using your “customer first” mindsetSatisfy the company’s and customer’s on-site requirements, including safety, environmental and COVID-19 guidelinesUtilize your analytical skills to review data and devise practical solutions to solve real time customer problemsMinimum Qualifications: Graduating with aBachelor’sdegree inMechanicalEngineering,ElectricalEngineering,Manufacturing,ora relatedfield.Preferred Qualifications: Up to 1year of work experience,military technical training, or an internshipin customer/field service support, or a related technical fieldAbility to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematicsExperience diagnosing and resolving basic technical challengesBasic mechanical aptitude with pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, vacuum, or thermodynamicsFamiliarity with hand tools and theirappropriate usage, including digital multimetersEffective written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on documenting detailsBasic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPointStrong interpersonal skillswith an emphasis on building trustAny relevant project management experience is beneficialPhysical Requirements: This position often requires extensive walking, standing for extended periods of time, working in tight spaces, bending, squatting, twisting, kneeling, reaching, climbing stairs and ladders, working at height, lifting up to 35 lbs., the ability to distinguish between colors and working with electricity, the ability to work in an environment with noise that may be difficult for some individuals with sensitivity to noise, and the use of hand and power tools. Additionally, because this positiongenerally involvesworking in a clean room, it requires the use ofappropriate PersonalProtective Equipment such as coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses, gloves, respirators, chemical aprons, and face shields. This position requires flexibility to work compressed work weeks (as needed), shift work, overtime, etc. Work schedule will vary and change due to operational requirements.
