Job Description

KARDENT is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated California Licensed Architect to join our dynamic team. As a Licensed Architect, you will play a leadership role in the execution of all projects, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality and compliance with federal, state, and local code regulations. Experience in the Commercial Industry such as Corporate Office, Education, Healthcare, Housing, and other Industrial facility architecture is desirable. Experience with Division of the State Architect (DSA) is highly desirable as well. Responsibilities:Collaborate with project teams to develop and refine design concepts that align with client requirements and project goals. Prepare and review architectural drawings and specifications for accuracy, functionality, and adherence to project program, building codes, and other applicable regulations. Lead the coordination of project activities, including working with engineers, contractors, and consultants to ensure seamless project execution. Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress, address design challenges, and verify compliance with architectural plans. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff members, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented work environment. Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and sustainable design practices to bring innovative ideas to the team. Engage in client communication to present design concepts, gather feedback, and ensure client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle. QualificationsAs a Licensed Architect, you will play a crucial role in the design and execution of projects, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality and compliance with federal, state, and local building code regulations. Architectural License in California is mandatory. NCARB Certified (preferred) Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution. Minimum of 7+ years of relevant commercial architectural experience Proficiency in industry-standard design and drafting software, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Bluebeam. Experience in ground-up Construction and Design Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and permit processes in California Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with clients, team members, and stakeholders. Demonstrated portfolio showcasing a range of successful projects and design excellence. Located and able to commute to Long Beach, California or planning to relocate before starting work (Required).
