Plant Operator

We are seeking an experienced Plant Operator to work on our construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining various plant equipment and machinery, ensuring the efficient and safe production of asphalt and other construction materials. As a key member of our team, the Plant Operator will work closely with other crew members and subcontractors to ensure that projects are completed to the highest level of quality.Responsibilities:Operate and maintain plant equipment and machinery, including but not limited to asphalt plants, concrete plants, and crushing plantsMonitor and adjust production process to ensure the efficient and safe production of construction materialsPerform regular maintenance on plant equipment and machinery, identifying and resolving issues as neededFollow safety protocols and wear protective gear as requiredCommunicate regularly with other crew members and subcontractors to ensure that work is completed on schedule and within budgetDevelop and maintain relationships with crew members and subcontractors to ensure that they are aware of project schedules and deadlinesIdentify and resolve issues that arise during construction projectsOther duties as assigned byQualifications:High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in plant operations preferred2+ years of experience in plant operations, with experience in a construction setting preferredKnowledge of and experience with various types of plant equipment and machinery, including asphalt plants, concrete plants, and crushing plantsStrong communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiencesStrong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze production data and identify trends and opportunities for improvementExperience with government contracts and compliance is a plusA commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace
