JOB OVERVIEW • Job Title: Advanced Practice Provider Pediatrics - NP/PA • Job Type: Locum Tenens • Location: Columbia, SC • Service Setting: Hospital-Based • Coverage Type: Clinical + Call • Coverage Period: Starting April 7, 2025 Open • Clinical Shift Schedule: 7:00 AM 7:00 AM (24-hour on-call shifts) • On-Call Shift Schedule: 24-hour on-call shifts • Call Response Time: Immediate (on-site) • Callback Rate: TBD COVERAGE DETAILS • Coverage Start Date: April 7, 2025 • Coverage End Date: Open PATIENT INFORMATION • Patient Demographics: Neonates, Pediatrics • Patient Volume/Census: TBD • Case Mix: Pediatric and Neonatal Care FACILITY INFORMATION • EMR System: TBD • Specialty Backup Available: TBD • Reason for Coverage: Coverage COMPENSATION & BENEFITS • Rate: TBD • Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: REQUIRED PROCEDURES • Resuscitation • CPAP management • Peripheral IV placement • Arterial blood gas sticks (ART sticks) • Ventilator management • Pulmonary surfactant administration • Umbilical line placement • Catheterization • Sick infant-related procedures • Circumcision (preferred for APPs) JOB REQUIREMENTS • Licenses: Active SC Medical License • Certifications: Board Certified in Pediatrics • Experience: Minimum 5 years of pediatric experience • Other Qualifications: Comfortable with neonatal procedures and pediatric ER consults DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide comprehensive pediatric care during 24-hour on-call shifts • Manage neonatal and pediatric patients, including critical care procedures • Conduct pediatric consults to the Emergency Room as requested • Maintain accurate medical documentation • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
