JOB OVERVIEW • Job Title: Neurocritical Care - NP • Specialty/Dept: Cognitive Neurology • Job Type: Locum Tenens • Location: Wethersfield, CT • Service Setting: Inpatient • Coverage Type: Clinical Only • Coverage Period: March 24, 2025 September 24, 2025 • Clinical Shift Schedule: 3-4 Night shifts/week; (6:30 PM 7:30 AM/8:00 AM) 13hr -13.5 hrs PATIENT INFORMATION • Patient Volume/Census: 6-9 ICU patients per night • Case Mix: Acute stroke, Acute head/Spine trauma, Neurosurgery, General neurology, and some MICU overflow) FACILITY INFORMATION • No. of Beds in Department: 23 NeuroICU beds • Support Staff Available: Other NPs/PAs • Reason for Coverage: Temporary Supplemental Coverage COMPENSATION & BENEFITS • Rate: TBD • Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered REQUIRED PROCEDURES • Perform central line and arterial line placements JOB REQUIREMENTS • Licenses: Active Connecticut Medical License • Experience: - Dedicated Neuro ICU experience - Expertise in acute stroke, head/spine trauma, neurosurgery, and general critical care • Other Qualifications: - Ability to work independently in a critical care environment
