Dermatology Nurse Practitioner

One-year fellowship focuses on clinical experiences as well as a robust didactic curriculum, to provide well-rounded education intended to fully prepare an APP for a full-time position in specialty areas. Primary fellowship role is dependent on specialty area but will include opportunities to learn in various settings and work towards procedural and clinically relevant competencies. APP fellow may be required to attend academic sessions and/or complete presentations/lectures/QI projects as determined by APP Fellowship Program.The Dermatology APP Fellow will receive 1 year of training in Charleston, SC where they will train in clinic alongside physician learners such as residents and fellows in learning a comprehensive approach to patient care. This includes specialized training in therapeutic procedures such as biopsies, advanced injections and cryotherapy.APPs who have completed all fellowship requirements, will be transitioned to a full-time position in dermatology in Lancaster, SC. Physical RequirementsContinuous requirements are to perform job functions while standing, walking and sitting. Ability to bend at the waist, kneel, climb stairs, reach in all directions, fully use both hands and legs, possess good finger dexterity, perform repetitive motions with hands/wrists/elbows and shoulders, reach in all directions. Ability to be qualified physically for respirator use, initially and as required. Maintain 20/40 vision corrected, see and recognize objects close at hand and at a distance, work in a latex safe environment and work indoors. Frequently lift, lower, push and pull and/or carry objects weighing 50 lbs (+/-) unassisted, exert up to 50 lbs of force, lift from 36" to overhead 25 lbs. Infrequently work in dusty areas and confined/cramped spaces.
