Locum NP/PA - Cardiothoracic Surgery - Dover, Delaware Inpatient Focus EVH Required 3-6 Month AssignmentOpportunity Snapshot:A leading medical center in Dover, Delaware, is seeking an experienced NP or PA for Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery locum coverage. This full-time role offers flexible shifts, call responsibility, and the opportunity to work closely with an established CV surgery team. Candidates must be skilled in open and endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH).Key Details:Coverage Dates: January 5, 2026 - 3 to 6 monthsSchedule: 4 weekday shifts (M-F)Two 7a-7p shifts and two 7a-3p shiftsCall Schedule:1-2 weekday calls per week (M-Th, 7p-7a)1 in 3 weekends (Fri 7p-Mon 7a)Setting: Primarily Inpatient - CVSICU, floor management, inpatient consults, outpatient clinic coverageResponsibilities:Post-op patient resuscitationRounding and responding to consults and emergenciesOR first assist for emergent casesChest tube placement and EVH (required)Patient Volume: 10-20 encounters per shiftSupport Staff: Surgeons, APCs, nursing teamReason for Need: Coverage gap for EVH-capable providerMinimum Commitment: 3 months (ideal: 6 months)EMR: EpicRequirements:NP or PA with Cardiothoracic/Vascular Surgery experienceSkilled in endoscopic and open vein harvest - RequiredChest tube placement proficiency - RequiredOpen radial artery harvest - Preferred but not requiredACLS and BLS - RequiredActive Delaware License or willing to obtain - AcceptedInfluenza vaccination or mask policy compliance - RequiredKnow someone who may be a fit?
