Nurse Practitioner (Neurology) - Huntsville, AL Job Description:We are seeking a dedicated and certified Neurology Nurse Practitioner to join our team in an outpatient setting. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing comprehensive care to patients with neurological conditions, including but not limited to seizures, headaches, paralysis, muscle weakness, coordination difficulties, and attention issues. The practitioner will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing a variety of neurological disorders.Roles & Responsibilities:Order and interpret diagnostic testsAdminister treatments including IV infusions and lumbar puncturesPrescribe and manage medicationsParticipate in patient management and ongoing evaluationsReview patients' statuses, care plans, lab results, and neuroimagingPrepare patients for spinal or brain surgeries and assist neurosurgeons as neededRequirements:Master's Degree in NursingBoard-certified Nurse PractitionerCurrent Alabama medical license and Federal DEA license1-2 years of experience in Neurology preferred (or at least 4 years of experience in Internal Medicine)Benefits:401K with employer matchCME allowance4 weeks of PTOMalpractice insuranceCredentialing support
