Orthopedics Nurse Practitioner

Annual Salary of around $100k-$180k- varies depending on years of experience!Our client is seeking a highly skilled and autonomous Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) with experience in orthopedics and neurology to join their multidisciplinary care team. This role involves providing advanced clinical care to patients with musculoskeletal and neurological conditions across multiple sites in New York City. The ideal candidate is confident in independent decision-making, patient education, and inter-borough travel.Key Responsibilities:Conduct comprehensive assessments and physical exams for patients with orthopedic and neurological conditionsDiagnose and manage acute and chronic musculoskeletal and neuro-related disordersOrder and interpret diagnostic tests including X-rays, MRIs, and EMGsPerform joint injections, splinting, and other minor procedures as appropriateCollaborate with orthopedic surgeons, neurologists, physical therapists, and other specialistsDevelop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management and rehabilitation referralsEducate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment options, and recovery expectationsDocument all encounters and care plans in the electronic medical record (EMR)Travel between clinical sites in Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, and the Bronx as neededQualifications:Active New York State license as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)National board certification (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA)DEA license and prescriptive authority in NYMinimum 2 years of experience in orthopedics, neurology, or related specialtyValid driver s license or ability to navigate NYC public transportationExperience in outpatient specialty clinics or hospital-based consult services Atlas Search is a tri-state area recruitment agency, connecting new graduates, Advanced Practice Providers, Physicians and Nurse Leaders to hospitals, clinics, multi-specialty groups, nursing homes, managed care companies, private practices, and healthcare start-ups.
