APP Neuro Joint & Spine at AH Poter - Denver, CO This role is an integral member of the orthopedic and neurosurgery service line at AdventHealth Parker Hospital, contributing to the design, implementation, and ongoing development of a comprehensive, highquality program. The APP will provide leadership by guiding clinical care decisions, supporting team communication, and contributing to the development and improvement of the orthopedic and neurosurgery service line. Using a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach, this individual will deliver compassionate, coordinated care that supports whole-person healing. As a key leader within the inpatient orthopedic and neurosurgery team, the APP will help manage post-surgical patients; facilitate multidisciplinary rounds; and support discharge planning to ensure optimal recovery. In partnership with the orthopedic and neurosurgical team, nursing, care management, and ancillary services, the APP will work to enhance physician satisfaction, strengthen nursing education and support, and ensure patients and their families receive thorough education and guidance from admission through discharge. Through this work, the position actively supports AdventHealth s mission of extending the healing ministry of Christ by addressing the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of every patient. Benefits of Employment with AdventHealth Annual Compensation $152,137 - $165,680 CME allowance 403b retirement plan PTO Malpractice coverage PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides daily rounding, assessment and management of post operative orthopedic and neurosurgery patients in collaboration with surgeons/APP s Evaluates and manage medical co morbidities and post-surgical complications to optimize recovery and outcomes Participates in multidisciplinary rounds to ensure effective communication, discharge planning and timely patient throughout Assist with floor admissions and transfers for the orthopedic and neurosurgery service line Participate in staff education through various educational modalities Participates in committees and meetings as needed or assigned Responds to clinical, documentation queries in a timely manner Maintains current understanding of regulatory environment Encourages in network utilization of resources for continuity of care unless otherwise specified by patient or physician Facilitate increased standardization of orthopedic and neurosurgery services by reducing clinical variations Supports effective hospital throughput with patient management. Monday through Friday schedule, inclusive of evenings and holidays based on facility and service line needs. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED: Ability to handle difficult and stressful situations with professional composure. Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Graduate of an MSN or DNP Nurse Practitioner Program Graduate of a Physician Assistant, PA-C Program LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED: Full Federal and State Prescriptive Authority. Eligibility to work in the United States. Current ACLS Certification. Colorado Medical License. Current DEA Licensure.
