Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (Part-Time)Location: Liberty, NYSchedule: 5 hours/day, 4 days per week (Mon Fri)Setting: OutpatientSpecialty: Psychiatric / Child & AdolescentPosition Summary:We are seeking an experienced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive psychiatric services for youth in an outpatient community-based program. This role focuses on psychiatric assessment, evaluation, treatment planning, psychopharmacology, and ongoing collaboration with an interdisciplinary care team. The NP will also provide education and training to families and staff to support safe and effective medication management.Key Responsibilities:Conduct psychiatric and medical assessments; diagnose and treat according to clinical standardsPrescribe, monitor, and manage psychotropic medications for youth ages Participate in treatment planning with an interdisciplinary teamEducate and train team members on psychiatric conditions, medication side effects, and treatment approachesProvide consultation and support to families regarding medication useAttend team meetings and contribute to collaborative careMaintain accurate documentation in the electronic health recordAdhere to all New York State practice standards and regulatory requirementsQualifications:Master s degree in Nursing (MSN) with Psychiatric/Mental Health NP certificationActive New York State NP license and DEA licenseMinimum 2 years of experience as a Psychiatric NPExperience prescribing for children and adolescents with multiple diagnosesProficiency in psychopharmacology and psychiatric evaluationsAbility to use electronic health recordsValid driver s license and insurabilitySchedule & Workload:Daytime schedule, flexibleNo weekends or on-callCaseload: Program serves up to 28 youthCompensation:$90 $95 per hourBenefits:Student loan & tuition reimbursementEmployee Assistance ProgramEmployee discountsProfessional development opportunities
