Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant Location: Rockford, Illinois Schedule: Flexible Schedule 10-hour Shifts Shifts per Month Contract Duration: Now April 30, 2026 Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide high-quality patient care in a Level II Trauma Center. This position offers a flexible schedule with 10-hour shifts and no on-call responsibilities, ideal for advanced practice providers who thrive in a fast-paced, team-based environment. Key Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive emergency medical care to a diverse patient population.Perform evaluations, diagnostic testing, and treatment of acute and urgent conditions.Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.Document all encounters accurately and efficiently in EPIC EMR.Participate in maintaining the highest standards of emergency department operations and patient safety. Requirements Active Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in the state of Illinois (or ability to obtain).Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.Prior experience in Emergency Medicine within a trauma-designated facility preferred.Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and communication skills.
