Neonatology Nurse Practitioner

Permanent Position: Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant - Neonatology Join our expanding team at a leading healthcare facility in Brooksville, Florida, a charming suburb located just north of bustling Tampa. Job Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive care as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or NICU-trained Physician Assistant. Work in a 20-bed Level-III unit with an average daily census of 12-20 patients and approximately 1600 annual deliveries. Collaborate with on-site Neonatologists and Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists, as well as other sub-specialists. Embrace the flexibility of 16-hour shifts, with potential for 24-hour shifts as the unit grows. Ensure adherence to clinical policies and procedures, maintaining the highest standards of patient care. Actively participate in the continuous improvement of care standards and protocols. Qualifications: Minimum of a Master s Degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies. Current national certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) or Board Certification through NCCPA for Physician Assistants. At least 2 years of current work experience in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is required. Strong communication and collaborative skills. Commitment to providing exceptional care and support to patients and their families. License and Certification Requirements: Active Florida state license, or willingness to obtain. Board Certified APRN national specialty certification (NNP) for Nurse Practitioner candidates. CLEAN malpractice and licensing history preferred.
