Psychiatric - Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Job Title: Advanced Practice Nurse Psychiatric/Mental HealthLocation: Orient, OHSchedule: 20 hours/week, weekdays only (no nights, weekends, or holidays). Core hours typically 7:00 AM 5:00 PM. Some flexibility may be offered.Duration: Approximately 3 months (may be extended based on need and mutual fit)Job ResponsibilitiesThe Advanced Practice Nurse (APRN) Psychiatric/Mental Health will:• Provide direct psychiatric/mental health care in-person or via telehealth as needed.• Conduct mental health and psychopharmacological assessments, formulate diagnoses, and provide psychotropic medication management.• Perform mental health evaluations to determine appropriate treatment and medication.• Prescribe medications and order, interpret, and analyze laboratory tests.• Collaborate with medical staff to ensure integrated care.• Document all clinical encounters and medication management accurately in accordance with policies.• Participate in treatment planning and treatment team meetings for assigned patients.• Provide clinical supervision and consultation to registered nurses and other mental health staff on medication management and clinical issues.• Receive regular clinical supervision from a collaborating physician.• Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities and maintain clinical competency.Required Qualifications• Master s degree in Nursing or related field• Valid state APRN license• Board certification in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing (ANCC or equivalent)• DEA registration (if prescribing controlled substances)• Healthcare-professional level BLS/CPR certification• Ability to pass TB and drug screenings as required
