Position Type: Contract Long-Term, Full-Time Contract Length:?Base Year + Four (4) Option Years Compensation: Base compensation starting at $700,000/year Earning potential up to $1,100,000 annually, negotiable based on experience, call participation, and scope of coverage Work Schedule: Estimated Work Hours: 80 hours every two weeks, excluding Federal holidays.? Schedule Details: Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., except for Federal Holidays Rotating on-call schedule (details confirmed collaboratively) 30-minute unpaid lunch break Job Description:? JR Enterprise is seeking a skilled and compassionate Anesthesiologist to support the Minneapolis VA Health Care System. The successful candidate will provide high-quality anesthesia care for patients undergoing cardiothoracic surgeries and other medical procedures, collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes. This role offers top-tier compensation, the opportunity to work with a leading VA healthcare system, and meaningful impact on veteran patient care. Key Responsibilities:? Administer anesthesia and monitor patients during surgical procedures and interventions. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement anesthesia care plans. Provide pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care, including managing complications. Evaluate patient histories and perform physical assessments to determine anesthesia protocols. Maintain accurate patient records in accordance with VA policies. Respond to emergencies requiring anesthesia expertise with confidence. Participate in educational programs and contribute to the ongoing improvement of anesthesia practices. Follow safety standards, infection control protocols, and regulatory requirements. Note: Cardiac device implantation (pacemakers, LVADs, defibrillators) may be involved but is not the primary responsibility. Qualifications:? Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) Board Certified in Anesthesiology Cardiothoracic anesthesia experience preferred Active, unrestricted medical license to practice in the U.S (Any state).? Proven experience in providing anesthesiologist services in a hospital or clinical setting.? Ability to work independently, exercise sound clinical judgment, and collaborate with medical and surgical teams.? Knowledge of VA policies, federal regulations, and patient care standards is desirable, though not required.? Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.? Ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a high-demand environment. ?
