Certified Medical Assistant Job Location:77 Vilcom Center Dr, Chapel Hill, NC Job Summary:We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant in our Dawson Hall clinic located in Chapel Hill, NC to be an integral member of the healthcare team and provide direct and indirect care to patients. Job Duties and Responsibilities:Adhere to Joint Commission, Environment of Care and Infection Prevention guidelines reviewed in monthly EOC, TJC and IPL roundsRoom patients per Dawson Hall Dermatology GuidelinesClean and Sanitize rooms after a patient visitClean and package surgical instruments for sterilizationSet up sterile trays for proceduresSet up clean trays for biopsiesCheck Vital signs report any abnormal findings to RN per policyAssist patient's with mobility prevent fallsReport any safety concerns to the RNRestock rooms at the end of the dayPerform other related duties incidental to work described here in Job Eligibility Requirements:Graduation from accredited Medical Assistant program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) strongly preferred.High school or GED graduation required.Certification by AAMA, AMT, NHA-CCMA, NCMA or ARMA required.BLS required Job Hours:The schedule for this position is day shifts, Monday-Friday, with no weekends or holidays.
