Job Title: Part time- Advanced Practice Nurse Psychiatric-Mental HealthLocation: Dayton OH 45417Duration: 3 months to long termShift: Standard (M-F)Hours/Week: 10 Hours/WeekSUMMARY:Searching for an experienced psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner or clinical nurse specialist licensed to work in Ohio to provide on-site services to the female population at this correctional facility. The schedule will be part-time (10 hours per week), and there is some flexibility in shift start/end times based on operational needs. No night, weekend, or holiday coverage is needed. The assignment is projected to last approximately 3 months but may be extended based on continued need and mutual good fit. An on-site interview will be required.JOB DESCRIPTION:Provides direct psychiatric/mental health care, which may be done in person or via videoconferencing at any institution as the need arises (e.g., conducts mental health and psychopharmacological assessments, formulates mental health diagnoses and provides psychotropic medication management consistent with formulary, orders lab tests, may include care for offenders in crisis)Performs mental health evaluations for purposes of formulating diagnoses and determining whether psychotropic medication is indicated for treatment of conditionPrescribes medication as neededOrders, interprets and analyzes laboratory reports and findingsCollaborates with medical services staff to ensure integrated careDocuments all clinical encounters and medication management appointments in the health record in accordance with ODRC policy and protocolsParticipates in treatment planning, treatment team meetings pertaining to his/her caseload patientsProvides clinical supervision and consultation for registered nurses and other mental health staff on issues pertaining to psychotropic medication management and other clinical issuesReceives clinical supervision from collaborating physician on a regular basisREQUIREMENT:BLS/CPR certificationOhio Medical LicenseCopy of Board Certification Drug Enforcement Administration certification
