New permanent NP/PA with CV surg/ICU experience-Open to CO license-up to $143,000 baseUCHealth Cardiac Surgery Team in Colorado Springs, Colorado is seeking an experienced, compassionate Nurse Practitioner with cardiac or cardiovascular surgery expertise and ICU patient management skills to join their innovative, full-time, patient-centered team dedicated to world-class cardiothoracic care.Job Description:As a Nurse Practitioner on the UCHealth Cardiac Surgery team, you will:Provide advanced clinical care for cardiothoracic surgery patients with a focus on compassionate, patient-first careAssist in cardiac surgeries, including performing endoscopic vein harvesting and first assisting when neededManage ICU and cardiovascular surgical patient care, including rounding and evaluation of CVICU, floor, and clinic patientsParticipate in 2 full-day clinics weekly and see additional patients as needed on other daysRotate through operating room coverage Monday through FridayCollaborate closely with surgeons, physicians, intensivists, and healthcare professionals in a collegial, multidisciplinary environmentOrder, interpret, and evaluate laboratory and diagnostic testsDevelop and implement appropriate plans of care and follow-up based on patient outcomesOrder medications and write prescriptions in compliance with regulatory policiesPerform bedside procedures as appropriate to the patient populationProvide high-quality, timely documentation of all care deliveredDemonstrate expert clinical judgment and function independently under physician supervisionMaintain continuing medical education to meet state and national registry requirementsAdapt and thrive in a high-stress, dynamic clinical setting with evolving organizational needsExhibit flexibility, teamwork, problem-solving skills, and a positive cultural fitNOT DOING ANY LOCUMS OR LOCUMS TO PERMUCHealth clears names system-wide.Unable to support visa candidates for this position.Compensation and Benefits:Competitive annual salary between $100,588 and $143,769, based on experienceEligibility for quality and productivity bonusesRelocation bonus for qualifying candidatesPaid malpractice insuranceGenerous CME allowance403(b) retirement plan with employer match and optional 457(b) planIf you think this might be a good fit for you, reach out anytime!
