This role involves working with computer-controlled equipment to produce high-quality products efficiently and safely. The Machine Operator works under moderate supervision and is expected to have or gain full proficiency in operating specific types of machinery.Essential Job FunctionsSet up and operate production machinery according to established proceduresUse computer-controlled equipment to position and secure automatic or semi-automatic machinesAdjust machine settings to meet product specifications and quality standardsMonitor machine performance and product quality throughout production runsPerform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on assigned machineryFollow safety protocols and maintain a clean work areaRecord production data and maintain accurate logsInspect finished products for quality and consistencyReport any equipment malfunctions or quality issues to supervisorsCollaborate with team members to ensure smooth production flowAdhere to all company policies and safety regulationsOther duties as assignedRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environmentBasic understanding of machine operations and safety proceduresAbility to read and interpret work orders and production specificationsBasic math skills for measurements and production calculationsPhysical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 poundsPreferred QualificationsExperience with specific types of production machinery relevant to the company's operationsFamiliarity with quality control processesBasic computer skills for operating computerized machineryKnowledge of lean manufacturing principlesWork EnvironmentThis position is based in a manufacturing or production facility. The work environment may involve exposure to noise, dust, and moving mechanical parts. Safety equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toed shoes may be required. The job typically involves standing for long periods, as well as bending, reaching, and lifting. Shift work may be required, including potential night shifts or weekends, depending on production schedules.
