Job Description The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading a team of maintenance technicians at the SPSCmanufacturing site. This is a key role in the maintenance department, ensuring the team practicesprecision maintenance, participates in the work flow process, completes assigned scheduled work, andprovides excellent customer service to the operations teams. This is a great role for a person with atechnical background (maintenance/engineering technician, manufacturing/project engineer) looking forleadership experience.Key Characteristics â— Ability to apply to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagram form.â— Directs and coordinates maintenance activities across water treatment facilities.â— Develops and implements preventive maintenance programs for water treatment equipment.â— Ensure compliance with EPA regulations, water quality standards, and safety protocols.â— Oversees maintenance of pumps, motors, chemical feed systems, and filtration equipment.â— Monitors and optimizes plant performance through SCADA systems.â— Develops and manages maintenance budgets.â— Implements asset management strategies.â— Coordinates with operations teams to minimize service disruptions.â— Maintains detailed maintenance records and documentation.â— Ability and willingness to read documents and implement such as safety rules, operating andmaintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.â— Accountable, reliable and thorough.â— Computer proficiency.â— Problem solving skills.â— Assists the Maintenance Technicians in performing proper diagnosis of any malfunctioningmachinery, general repairs, installing new equipment and systems and preventative maintenanceprograms on all assigned machinery.â— Installs or directs the installation of new equipment or rearranges existing equipment.â— Is available on call for emergency repairs as needed to keep the plant in good running order.â— Leads by example and practices good safety procedures in order to keep self and others injuryfree. Follows EHS policies and procedures.â— Performs and/or directs preventative maintenance on plant facilities and equipment as well asMobile/Service DI water treatment equipment.â— Provides leadership to the Maintenance staff and directs the maintenance operationsâ— Other duties as assigned.Preferred:â— Minimum of 3 years of Electrical install, repair, and maintenance work experience to includeelectronic troubleshooting, PLC programming, and 480V 3 Phase electrical repair andmaintenance experience.â— Water treatment processes and chemistry.â— Regulatory compliance requirements.â— Preventive maintenance best practices.â— Safety protocols and environmental standards.â— Trade school experience for electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and/or mechanical repair is highlydesired.â— Electrical Certification Qualifications Required:â— Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.â— 3+ years of maintenance experience in water/wastewater treatmentâ— Strong knowledge of water treatment processes and equipment.â— Proven leadership and project management skills.â— Minimum of 2 years of PVC plumbing or mechanical repair and maintenance work experience ortraining.â— Minimum of 2 year experience in a Leadership roleâ— Possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record history Additional Information The job description is not designed to capture all the employee's responsibilities but is intended to capture essential functions of the role.
