Our 250+ local customer service centers (CSCs) are supported by regional operations teams located throughout North America.ResponsibilitiesCoaching and advising General ManagersIdentifying growth opportunities and working collaboratively with Business DevelopmentBuilding and maintaining strong business relationships with identified customer baseEnsuring General Managers have significant customer relationships throughout their districtIdentifying, tracking, and addressing customer trendsDefining the behavior of competitors in the regionUnderstanding customer contracts and complianceDeveloping well-formed strategies and tactics for contract negotiationsInterpreting the meaning of the customer/competitor/industry trends for the region teamMonitoring business results; ensuring the region is meeting all contract responsibilitiesEnsuring the area has a solid business plan and budgetWorking with General Managers to make sure they know how to read relevant financial statementsTracking region and CSC results, defining trends, and anticipating impactsReviewing financial statements for the region, analyzing them, and developing action plansEnsuring General Managers develop appropriate improvement plansWorking with General Managers to make sure employee relations plans are in place and well executedEnsuring process, policy and initiative compliance; ensuring business tools are being usedWorking with General Managers to ensure consistent implementation processes; explaining the value of consistencyReviewing talent management plans; ensuring that talent within the area is identified and developedConfirming General Managers have coaching plans and coaching notes for the members of the CSC staffEnsuring General Managers and staff attend workshops, seminars, and learning eventsIdentifying and providing opportunities for General Managers to participate in policy, process, and program design meetings as well as project teamsOther duties assigned to meet the needs of the businessConduct special projects as requested by the Vice President, OperationsPay range for this position is $150,000-$175,000 annual salary.QualificationsBachelor's Degree required; a focus in Business Management, Accounting or Economics preferred10 or more years of experience in an operations management role; 5 or more years in a senior manager roleExperience supporting multiple sites/branches/locations; ability to provide guidance and management from a remote locationProven leadership ability, industry-specific knowledge gained through experienceStrong negotiation skills and techniquesDesire to coach and mentor othersFinancial acumen and knowledge of economic theoryPractical application of marketing and sales theory and principlesComprehensive understanding of labor and employment practices lawWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.) and accounting-based systemsExcellent verbal and written communication skills along with strong interpersonal skillsStrong analytical skills with an attention to detailCreative, innovative, and flexible mindsetAbility to work independently or as part of a teamWell-developed time-management skillsUtmost professionalism, integrity, and confidentialityMust have the ability to travel up to 50%Summit School Services has a zero-tolerance policy on conduct that is incompatible with its policies and values, including sexual exploitation and abuse, harassment, abuse of authority, and discrimination.
